The Paddle Challenge is on again this year, one of the premier events on the Canoeing WA calendar.
The Challenge – which will be part of the official launch of the Avon Descent, and the first of three seeding races – will take place on Sunday, May 25 2014. As the event was a great success last year, we hope this year will be bigger and better. Please see official video of the 2013 event here.
Paddle in the 2014 Paddle Challenge and receive;
- A professionally timed event
- A chance to win great prizes (competitors must be at the presentations ceremony to collect prizes) with cash prizes being distributed between all categories
- Food and drink catered by Bayswater Paddlesports
- A great family fun filled day – bouncy castle, face painting and other fun stuff
Like last year, Canoeing WA has decided to raise funds at the Challenge for the Heart Foundation (WA) in a bid to raise awareness about the warning signs of heart attack.
Heart disease is Australia’s number one killer and the Heart Foundation’s mission is to reduce suffering and death from heart, stroke and blood vessel disease. In Australia, the best way to do this is by education and raising awareness.
